In keeping with its mission of making professional fund raising support more accessible, PCG is offering a consulting package combining those services most commonly requested by 1, 2 or 3-person operations at a substantial discount. Benefits include monthly counseling, grant writing support, networking opportunities, and 'outsourced' support.
PCG Circle is for non-profit leaders who have the innovative ideas, target constituency, and boundless enthusiasm, but as yet lack the professional guidance to transform a vision into cash flow.
PCG Circle concentrates on the practical issues of growing an organization, - i.e. budgeting, boards, staffing, marketing, cultivation and evaluation. Attention, however, is also given to the human side of development - accepting change, managing staff, wearing too many 'hats', feelings of isolation, and the general pressures of meeting monthly obligations.
The consultancy extends from September 1st through June 30th in order to give participants long-term support and to make sure objectives are fully met. The project is by application, and open to 20 'emerging' and 5 'breakthrough' companies.
At the start of the project, participants take a 4-hour group training course, Funding Bootcamp, which focuses on fund raising theory, best practices and emerging trends in the field of philanthropy. The course also provides an opportunity for a group of non-profits to network, share information and discuss pressing issues particular to 'small shops' and new ventures.
Funding Bootcamp sets the stage for the private consultations, which take place once a month for the length of the contract period. Technical assistance is offered in the form of grant review and editing, or grant writing. Finally, participants have the opportunity to enlist Ms. Penn as a spokesperson for their organization, accompanying directors on fund raising solicitations or cultivation events.
